The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is the name given to a partnering agreement between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Right Management, who are global career development and outplacement specialists. The CTP was established in October 1998 and has nine Regional Resettlement Centres (RRCs) in the UK, and one in Germany, along with a Resettlement Training Centre (RTC) in Aldershot. The RRC for Scotland is based in HMS Caledonia at Rosyth. The CTP delivers free resettlement services to all ranks of the British Armed Forces, and make the transition from military to civilian life as smooth and successful as possible. They teach Service Leavers the skills they need to produce a CV, learn interview techniques, research the employment market and apply for jobs. Job finding assistance is primarily delivered through the Regular Forces Employment Association (RFEA), the Officers' Association (OA) and OA Scotland Employment Consultants who are part of the CTP. We are based at branches across the UK and in Herford, Germany. They have access to RightJob, the CTP's on-line job finding database. CTP support is provided to Service leavers from two years prior to discharge, and up until two years after discharge. Beyond this point, as registered charities OA Scotland, OA and the RFEA are available to assist ex-Service men and women with employment support throughout their working lives. RightJobFor Service Leavers: If you have registered with the CTP for your resettlement, you should have been issued login details to our on-line job searching facility that enables you to search for vacancies on the CTP database via the web and apply directly to the employer. For Employers: We offer a high quality, no cost recruitment service to organisations seeking to employ skilled workers of a high calibre. Visit the CTP website at www.ctp.org.uk to register on our online job database, RightJob and upload your vacancies. |
