The Officers Association Scotland (OA Scotland) exists to relieve distress among all those who have at any time held a Sovereign's Commission with embodied service in HM Naval, Military, or Air Forces, and among their wives, widows, husbands, widowers, children and dependants. This includes ex-officers who were commissioned into the Reserve, Auxiliary, or Territorial Forces. Applicants must be resident in Scotland at the time of their initial application or have been members of a Scottish Regiment. EmploymentAs part of the Joint Employment Partnership with The Officers' Association and Regular Forces Employment Association we provide the employment finding service in partnership with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP). We provide a no cost service to Employers, which offers them the best possible access to officers in the process of leaving the Services, as well as to ex-officers (many with significant commercial experience) looking for employment as well. To individuals we deliver a key element of the resettlement service provided by the MoD, this is an advice service which is available at any time in an individuals career. We also facilitate the provision of small business loans and vocational training grants through Poppyscotland. BenevolenceOA Scotland aims to relieve financial distress amongst those who are eligible for our services (see above). Further information on the benevolent services that we offer can be found within our Benevolence Services section. |
