Fancy a career as a teacher in primary or secondary education?

The STEM Teacher Education Bursary is a £20,000 incentive to ease the transition from paid employment into Initial Teacher Education.
Applications are open to career changers wishing to undertake a one-year PGDE ITE (Professional Graduate Diploma in Education – Initial Teacher Education) course in Scotland that leads to the award of registered teacher status in the hardest to fill STEM subjects.  https://stembursaryscotland.co.uk/
For PGDE ITE courses starting in August 2018, the eligible subjects are Maths, Computing Science, Technical Education and Physics.
The bursary is over and above any normal student support provided by Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS), as long as students meet the SAAS eligibility criteria.
Students eligible for a bursary can also apply to have their tuition fees paid by the Scottish Government. For more information, or to make an application visit http://www.saas.gov.uk.
