ICAS have introduced a new way to study for the CA qualification. On the professional entry route you enter into a training plan directly with ICAS. Graduates in a finance role or individuals with five years experience in a financial environment are eligible to use this route. This plan gives you the flexibility to undertake education and examinations with ICAS at different times, without having to give up your job. The plan is in addition to your terms and conditions of employment and is an agreement between you and ICAS.
Along with studying and sitting exams, you are also required to gain relevant and practical experience. If it is not possible to obtain this experience within your current role CA students are encouraged to speak with their employer about suitable secondment opportunities within their organisation.
Depending on where you are based, you will attend classes in one of the following locations: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Nottingham or Reading. ICAS also offer training opportunities in the Channel Islands. No matter where you are based, ICAS teach the same material in a consistent format which is why they are so well recognised for consistency and high standards.
