Supporters of OA Scotland engage with us in a number of ways:

  • By receiving our newsletter twice a year
  • By attending our networking events
  • By providing occasional advice to individual service leavers about their industry or sector

NEWSLETTER: OA Scotland uses our newsletter to keep in touch with you. It is sent out via Mail Chimp.  We upload names and email addresses to the Mail Chimp automation system.  You can find full details of Mail Chimp’s privacy policy here.

If you wish to unsubscribe at any time you can do this by contacting Tom Denovan, Employment Consultant t.denovan@oascotland.org.uk You can also use the “unsubscribe” feature on the newsletter.

ADVICE AND GUIDANCE TO FORMER SERVICE PERSONNEL: If you are willing to provide advice and guidance to service leavers and veterans who are clients of OA Scotland, we will pass your email address to those clients looking for advice about your organisation or sector. We will not overwhelm you with requests for assistance, and control stays very much with you.

We will contact you every two years to confirm that you are still happy with the level of contact you have chosen.

OA Scotland will not share your information with third parties, unless you agree to this, and will use it only for the purposes you have agreed to.

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the Personal Information.

If a security breach causes an unauthorised intrusion into our system that materially affects you we will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action we took in response.

We do our best to keep your data accurate and up to date, to the extent that you provide us with the information we need to do so. If your data changes (for example, if you have a new email address), then you are responsible for notifying us of those changes. Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your Personal Information. We will retain your information until you request us to delete it.
