Offering long term or one off financial grants to assist for those bumps in the road
Supporting Families
Officers’ Association Scotland provides support and relief to officers and their families.
This community is made up of both veterans and those who currently serve. It includes men and women from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, both regular and reserve. And finally, it is important to note, it includes their families as well.
We offer confidential, non-judgemental and tailored support to current and former officers and their families in need.
Sometimes that’s long-term help and advice such as lifelong grants. Sometimes it’s short-term urgent options, when it most needed, to get people past the inevitable bumps in the road of life.
No matter when the need arises, we can support you.
Our grants are wide ranging covering areas such as mobility support, home repairs or adaptations, replacement household goods, debt, and training.
Let us know in confidence what you need, and we will always do our best to help.
We have helped countless men, women and families with issues linked to their time in the Armed Forces or with struggles adjusting from military to civilian life. We even help with needs that have arisen long after someone has left the Armed Forces. Whenever, wherever support is needed, we are here.
Sheila and John both served during World War II in the Army, where they both met and fell in love. They lived a long life but unfortunately illness plagued them in their later years with their home proving not to be suitable for them both. Their savings was dwindling with funds being spent on carers and multiple home costs alongside an increased cost of living. OAS supported Sheila and John to undertake home adaptions, creating a bedroom down stairs alongside new bathroom facilities to meet their needs.

The drive, attitude and array of soft skills that they can bring benefits not just their team but whole departments. Ex-military personnel are incredibly versatile and have the ability to pick things up at short notice and cope with the pressure of delivering outcomes to the highest standards.
